The RemotePro 170W Series outdoor power systems are designed for applications that require a primary off-grid power source to run various equipment. The vented weatherproof enclosures have generous space available inside for mounting customer equipment. Multiple mounting brackets are welded inside the enclosure for mounting DIN rails or flat plates.
The systems are available with MPPT or PWM temperature compensated solar charge controllers. Some of the PWM systems are available with 24V or 48V 10/100 Passive PoE outputs. The solar controllers turn off the load automatically if the battery voltage drops too low, in order to preserve battery life. The load turns on automatically once the battery voltage recovers.
The outdoor enclosures are powder coated steel or aluminum. They are hinged and gasket sealed with a locking closure that accepts a common padlock for security. They have four cable gland ports for CAT5/6 cable, antenna cables/connectors or other cabling. Included is a thermostatically controlled fan assembly which turns on automatically when the temperature exceeds 45°C.
The high quality solar panels have a 25 year power output guarantee and a +5W output tolerance. The enclosures and solar mount can be mounted to a wall or pole (2-4”) with the included mounting system.
Batteries are a Non-Spillable Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid Advance Glass Matt (AGM) type which have excellent temperature and deep discharge performance. Expected battery life exceeds 5 years.
The systems come with all cabling required to connect the batteries to the controller and 20’ outdoor rated cable to connect the solar panels to the controller.

Well, assembly was straight forward, and the system works but the display is impossible to read in daylight. You basically have to cover you and the display with dark cloth so as to brighten the very dimly lit screen.

Hi Calvin, The color LCD display is best viewed at an angle typically from below the display looking up at the display. Viewing from an angle gives the best contrast. That said, in bright sun, most displays will be a bit harder to read. I can barely see my mobile phone screen in bright sun.
Our newer MPPT controllers have built-in bluetooth so that you will be able to monitor and make changes to the settings via bluetooth. It requires an app (SolarMate) that is available on Play Store and IOS Store. To see if your MPPT controller has bluetooth, do a bluetooth scan on your mobile device when you are close to the MPPT controller and if you see a device that starts with “MPPT-BT02” then your MPPT controller has built-in bluetooth.
