The BreezePro® TPW-400DT-12/24 Wind Turbines from Tycon Solar® are engineered for hassle-free installation and extended service life. I just ordered a 3rd unit. I have had two added as night helpers on solar powered internet relay towers. Winter charging has been vastly improved, some times withstanding enormous winds and icy conditions. Lost blade tips on one, probably flying critter. Going into third winter, ordered one as quick change spare. Recommended product TPDIN2 as monitor for current and voltages. Highest read on acid battery bank (2-24v Trojan 6v groups) with these hit around 30 vdc for while in heavy winds.

We are currently in Belize and we have plenty of Trade Winds to keep it going full time. This new updated version of the turbine we bought from you three years ago is working like a champ. I think we even sold one for you to another sailboater. (He bought it through a third party on line.) Anyway the turbine is producing the additional wattage we needed (along with our solar panels) to keep our batteries up and charged as we like them. We have had no problems with the unit like we experienced with the other two previous versions. Before installing the unit I sprayed it down with Corrosion X and it appears to be holding up well in this salty marine environment. I might mention that the unit is pretty quiet, which is a plus for a boat installation where folks are sleeping aboard. It does however produce a certain amount of vibration which I have dampened with various rubber bits and pieces. Some factory installed shock mounting/vibration dampening would be a definite improvement if you are interested in marketing to boaters. Thanks so much for standing behind your product and delivering a version that fulfills our needs. We enjoyed being your Beta Team on the water. And even though the first two versions didn’t work; we feel the Tycon turbine is a good value compared to the others we looked at and we will recommend your product to our fellow boaters.
